As part of your studies in Spain

you will be asked to translate certain documents

Depending on the case, the requested translation may be simple or may have to be sworn.

What procedures may require translation?

  • The credencial ?

NO, no document needs to be translated into Spanish in order to validate your baccalaureate and study at a university in Spain. Only certified photocopies of your official documents in French (which can be done at your local city hall in France) are necessary.

  • Request for validation of ECTS ?

YES, all original official documents must be translated into Spanish. They can sometimes be given to the university in French for a pre-study, they can sometimes be given in simple translation in Spanish for this pre-study but will ALWAYS have to be given to the university in the form of a sworn translation before the final validation of a registration by validation of ECTS in a university in Spain.

  •  The request to practice in France a regulated profession (architecture, dentistry, physiotherapy, medicine, pharmacy, podiatry, veterinary, ...) ?

YES, the authorities that regulate the practice of a regulated profession in France require sworn translations of all official Spanish documents in order to be able to rule in the commissions of authorization of practice in the health field and for the registrations to the Orders (of architects, dentists, doctors, physiotherapists, veterinarians, etc.).
