The financing

of his project to study in Spain

How to financeyour study project

As you may already know, it is difficult to get into public universities in Spain, at least for those courses that are requested by good and very good students due to the limited number of places.
The principle of selection is based on the application of the nota de corte, which classifies the applications by level and proposes admission to the best students in relation to the number of places available.
You will therefore have to finance your studies and be aware that there is no really important aid available to you.

How can I finance my studies in Spain?

It is not recommended to prepare a study project in Spain by depending 100% on university grants and scholarships.

To study in Spain:

  • Rely on your own funds
  • Take out a bank loan

Our advice is to turn to your bank for a student loan.

Compete with at least two other banks. A student, a potential future client when he/she will be a liberal practitioner in the medical or paramedical sector for example, is very interesting for a bank in the medium and long term and the best way for them is to capture him/her during his/her studies.

However, you should also be aware that the amount of money you will be lent does not depend on your future job, nor on the money you need to finance your studies and live in Spain for several years, but only on the ability to repay of the person who is going to act as guarantor for you.

If you need banking assistance to finance your study project in Spain you can contact CIC Iberbanco. CIC Iberbanco combines and enhances two major assets: its Iberian origin and the dynamism of the banking group to which it belongs (Crédit Mutuel-CM11). A complete range of competitive products, adapted to your needs, has been designed for you by their teams. In addition to a network of branches throughout France, you will benefit from privileged partnerships with Targobank (for your banking equipment in Spain) and Atlantis Seguros (to insure you in Spain).

A LAST ADVICE: Do not leave if you have not validated all of your financing. Indeed, if you were to stop during your studies, you would not only have lost money, but also time, since the part of the training that has already been financed would not be used to continue your studies, neither in a Spanish public university, nor in your country.
